Dondi Martin is a native of Atlanta, GA. He expressed an interest in hair at the age of 15, while visiting a local hair salon with his sister. Dondi received an early start with his education in the hair industry by attending cosmetology classes at O.E.C. South while still attending High School. He then went on to receive his cosmetology license in 1993, after completing the required 1500 hours of study, from Atlanta Area Technical College. Dondi became a top educator with Design Essentials product company where he received the Rookie Of The Year award, and went on to become a National Educator and platform artist, educating cosmetologist around the country, teaching best practices for healthy hair by using professional products. In 1996 Dondi went on to become an Olympic Stylist working at the official Hair Salon for the 1996 Olympics, servicing customers from around the world, and also servicing such customers as Floyd Mayweather, whom Dondi personally cut his hair before his medal winning fights. By 1996, after working as an Olympic Stylist, Dondi began to train with masters such as Clem Lue Yat, owner of Master Hair Weavers in New York, Lori Ruzek and Salvatore Megna, inventor of the famed Fusion Method, as well as Patti Young and Gilberto Feebles, hair replacement specialist. Dondi became a National Educator for international companies such as Mega Hair and New Concepts Hair Goods. In 2003 Dondi Martin founded Hairborn Express, a company dedicated to distributing top quality hair extensions at affordable prices. He quickly became successful and began training other stylist and salons in the field of hair distribution.
